UI/UX
BEHR PAINTING
APP REDESIGN
for a more enjoyable painting experience.
UI/UX design // Fall 2020
in collaboration with Brooke Williams
research partnership with BEHR
OBJECTIVE
Working with research and insights gathered from a group of students working with BEHR, the goal of this project was to create a more intuitive and user-friendly painting experience through the redesign of the BEHR mobile application.

RESEARCH
After receiving raw data concerning several users' painting experiences, the research was organized using a visual hierarchy in order to highlight pain points in the painting process.

The journey map above follows user emotions in association with painting-related tasks.
INSIGHTS
Establishing a design direction based on synthesized research results.

The workflow diagram above compartmentalizes tasks and uses red circles to call attention to particularly troublesome aspects of the painting process according to user feedback.

The benchmarking assessment above outlines highlights and pain points of the existing Behr mobile app, as well as alternate competitive paint assistant apps.
